Terrain

You will be following 'Whitby Way'.

A few hills but mainly gradual undulating slopes. A variety of grassy meadows, green woodland and open heather moorland. You'll need good, sturdy boots or shoes and remember to wear full length trousers if you're walking through long grass in Spring-Autumn to help prevent ticks which can carry disease.

Accomodation

Slightly off route is Priory Farm Campsite near Grosmont. This is a brilliant back to basics campsite in the middle of the countryside, located next to a gentle little river. You'll have access to a little kitchen with a microwave and kettle up near the farmhouse. There is a toilet but no showers... but who minds that when you're allowed to build a proper campfire?! Not many campsites let people have open fires anymore so please be responsible if you do make a fire because we'd like to keep it this way!
