Mostly on the flat. It's fairly easy to follow the path; most of the time you're walking on the edges of the cliff so you can see the sea.

YHA Boggle Hole is a quirky hostel with a cafe and bar right on the beach! It's a 20 minute walk to Robin Hood's bay which you can get to along the beach when the tide is out, or along the cliff path when the tide is in!
