The Art Cafe is a refreshing light and airy gallery space in the heart of Whitby. Our aim is to create an atmosphere that is vibrant yet minimal, exciting yet relaxing; a perfect place to spend an hour or two viewing a diverse range of quality contemporary art.

Pannett Art Gallery is set in the peaceful and charming grounds of Pannett Park in the centre of Whitby. The gallery has an eclectic mix of 19th and 20th Century paintings on permanent display, as well as a rolling display of different exhibitions.

 This relaxed and informal gallery is well worth a visit offering the delightful combination of great art and superb food. The gallery hosts the panoramic lanscape paintings of Chris Geal, whose studio is at the back of the gallery and is always happy for a chat,, as well as many other local artists.

Michael Kusz creates unique sculptures from upcycled materials, mainly copper.
Born in industrial South Wales, with access to all sorts of old tools and materials, many creative hours were spent in dismantling and figuring out how things were built.
 He has an 'apprentice' - Jo the Crow.
